Watched Tristan and Isolde last night. Not too bad, if you ignore pufferfish and that I was watching it with Cornwall based archeologists who also had similar problems.
I did feel that whoever directed it did not have the film he thought he did because you can't have a 'romantic love conquers all film' where, at the one point where he has a direct choice, chooses duty over romantic love. Because, dude, that sounds awfully like 'duty conquers all'.
Not that I don't love whoever did it for sticking with the way its supposed to end (mostly) and having Tristan go back because otherwise he would have been a coward and that's the one thing he wasn't.
They also get cookies for being sensible and not making King Mark evil.
Although I shan't complain too much, since this was a film that had Rufus Sewell and James Franco in. Half-naked. Whee!
