Sep. 4th, 2003 10:14 pmMy Mother will drive me to drink one of these days. Actually she's already managed that but I've not gone there since I was 13 and don't want to be returning.
Anyway, she comes home yesterday having had hell's own day at work, and with a headache coming on. So does she take that out on the people responsible - no she has to work with them, does she take it out on Nan - no because Nan's her mother. Does she take it out on me - darn right she does. So I think, today, today she's going to be better.
Well she's not. I've pretty much spent most of the time while she's been home hiding up here. But what's new.

However on a things that are good tip
Sep. 4th, 2003 11:01 pmI decided to splash out and buy this month's Essential X-men, which was a good choice (it's issue 103 for those who care) and it's very good.
It includes the return of the Legacy Virus to a position of great importance, and the return of an old character with his real accent. Oh and a scene that makes me cry, due to the sheer unpathetic patheticness of a certain character. (What I'm hormonal and I was watching 'Die Me Dichotomy' otherwise known as the Farscape episode that makes me cry earlier)
Plus the most bizarre exchange ever between Bishop and Gambit ( A bounty hunter from the future and a thief discussing the works of Victor Hugo )
It's even better when you imagine it using Bishop's voice from the cartoon. It was such a yummy voice.
Plus there's a certain amount of good natured snarking at Xavier.
And the reprint of the next part of the original Children of the Atom storyline, due to which I am presently kind of pissed of at Xavier.
Actually I want to kiss whoever drew the 'Dream's End' story because the pictures are good.
My comics habit is going to be the bankrupting of me.
That reminds me, I'm 18 and I have to deal with insurance companies. It's not fair. (end Kevin the teenager mode)
Plus and this is a big plus, Music Zone have Lipstick Traces for £10.
(Mum and Nan still driving me barmy so I'm retreating back into the safe world of music and comics)
