1) Was 2024 a good year for you?
Appalibad for reasons I can't discuss.
2) What was your favourite moment of the year?
First fencing tournament back, because I really was worried about not being able to come back properly.
Sunset over Coronado beach, also good.
3) What was your least favourite moment of the year?
RL bad things. People lying to me at work. I wish people would realise that I really do not like being lied to.

Tidy flat (again, I know, one day etc). Try not to miss fencing.

New people through work. A few new fencers.

First weekend of November into second weekend of December might count

Yes, to the Netherlands and US twice with work.

A not-grandma (my cousin's grandma that I don't share). Diagnosed with terminal lung cancer in October, dead before Christmas. Smoking sucks kids, don't take it up.

22) What was your favourite movie that you saw in 2024?
Probably Monkeyman
23) What was your favourite song from 2024?
I am not sure, it must be said. Usual lack of listening to music coherently happened.

One. But it was Nick Cave and the Bad Seeds.

Follow up to the Utrecht meeting. Business big wig giving answers after a talk for me without asking and approving of my work.

Buy the house for Mum. Figure out a way of handling boy cousin. Fence more.

My favourite story this year: 'You Loved The Game' - https://archiveofourown.org/works/54724579 one of the 3 Sentence Fics. It's just so perfectly vicious. A Cecile from Dangerous Liaisons who doesn't just survive but thrives.
My best story this year: Whiskey, Hotel, Echo, November has the most hits and kudos so I shall say that's the best received.
Story most under-appreciated by the universe, in my opinion: I love 'Whiskey, Hotel, Echo, November', but I'm also aware it's a sequel and an obscure idea anyway so I don't mind.
Most fun story: 'Only the names have been changed to protect the innocent' is glorious ridiculous nonsense.
Most sexy story: There is an absence of sexy again.
Story with single sexiest moment: See previous.
Hardest story to write: This year's were all ones that moved along quite happily. One of them (A Man Who Trusts) was written post the November WIP clear out, which tells you how smooth it was to write.
"Holy crap, that's *wrong*, even for you" story: There has been no wrong. And it looks like little wrong for next year either.
Story that shifted my own perceptions of the characters: Not 'Out of the Ice' itself, but part 3 of that series that I am writing. I realise I see Bucky with a lot more angry, jagged edges than I thought I did (and I do mean Bucky, not the Winter Soldier).
Biggest disappointment: I'm actually pretty happy with most of them.
Biggest surprise: People liked "Only the Names Have Been Changed To Protect the Innocent" a lot more than expected. Police AU for AEW, mostly Darby Allin and Sting and gen!
Most unintentionally telling story: There is very little me in these stories. The Sabin fic I'm working on at the minute, on the other hand ...
