I, or rather my characters, try to be understanding of the fact that the Empire characters have been brainwashed since birth, basically. Like when my Knight seemed to have converted that Sith to the light on Tatooine. But really General Rakton, there's a level of ignoring what's in front of your eyes for you to be spewing the bullshit you're spewing that makes me think less well of you.
My Trooper is disturbingly even handed. And very much Mom and Pop and apple pie despite everything.
