This week I've been getting to do lab stuff, which makes me happy. New Boss said lab work help to ground you, and I think he's right. It's very much the same happy joy feeling as gardening.

Other than that, my next door neighbour in halls has a lovely singing voice (and his baritone range suggests that they lied when they said this was an all female floor) but he appears to be practising for something, which means I've had the same song over and again. I hope he switches to something else.

Um. Yeah. And guess who's been drafted in as the executioner! Any hints gratefully accepted.

From Wednesday to Wednesday I will be in Ireland. The travel itinery goes a little something like this: Athlone, Limerick, Dublin, back. If anyone knows of anything in the vicinity that they feel I should visit, comment and I'll try and convince the growed ups to go.

But yes, it should be fun, and I've told my Mum that I'll behave but I shan't put up with any nonsense from Colin. I fear that my temper is not getting better with age, I've just got less likely to hit people.

Went to the new house to pay my rent and deposit and sign my contract. I fear that the growed ups belonging to my housemates expect too much from what is a student house. Either that or I'm far too easy going.

Went to see some more houses. They were okay. Was talking to Mother about them. Someone remind me that my mother means well when she worries and isn't just panicking for no good reason about something she doesn't know enough about to keep worrying me about it. Because yes, Mum, I just love being told I'm probably going to be homeless and its all my fault. And she wonders why I then lose my temper and start talking down to her - yes, I'm an ungrateful brat but seriously, there will be 250 rooms that I could move into at one of the halls, and they're not all going to have gone by the start of September.
