Spud!!
I mean, I knew he wouldn't win, even if I thought he'd have even half a chance, the minute Austin Aries came out to say he'd challenge the winner I knew it wasn't going to be Spud, but ... between them Angle and Spud almost made me believe. It could have been a better match because Spud is not that good yet and Angle has lost some of his go, but it was solid, it did what it was supposed to do.
The audiences's lustful cheer of 'Kong's gonna kill ya' at the Dollhouse was pleasing. Team not wearing lingerie for love nor money were the good guys :D :D :D
The three X-division matches happened. I don't remember a thing :( Part of the problem is that 9/10ths of the division have no character. I know nothing of Cruz (being picked on just because he wears a mask, sorry) other than he's the Lucha guy that isn't Tigre Uno. And that is not a character. Not Cruz's fault, but ... it makes life difficult.
I start to suspect that Jeff Hardy is this year's Hall of Fame bod, due to the sheer number of video-ettes with him in, all singing his praises. Admittedly they're reusing some old footage (Jeff Jarrett is still about in some of it) but that just arouses my suspicions more.
There was no reason for that Bram vs Crimson match, and Bram's promos are a little repetitive and he's not ready for the push they seem to be planning for him, and yet, I am cheap and easy for this match.
Aries and Roode's pre-title match cheering session was <3. I <3 their not-quite evil ways.
As the Dirty Heels are still in tag title contention, I should have guessed that Aries wasn't going to win the title but, oh how I wanted him to.
