Okay, fine, TNA, you win. I actually care what happens to Spud. He is an exceptional case and I will not be falling for your wiles again. I have been here before. (No, I still haven't forgiven them for Lockdown 2012.)

I think they've finally twigged that Storm actually has to be evil to stop people cheering for him. Even so, I think attempted murder is a bit much. He is still very much cool, sinister evil.

I'm interested in what they've done with Spud because he's the first X-division champion come Destination X who has had a good reason not to go for option C. Because he is tiny, he stands no chance of winning, while Austin Aries and Sabin were high-flyers who started out in the X-Division.

But at the same time, that's the reason he should go for option C, because when else is he going to get a World Title shot.

And that's how you do drama.

I also loved Austin Aries actually being nice.

Which leads to my belief that Austin Aries is the best done tweener on the roster. Because he's perfectly nice to Spud because Spud has nothing he wants and Aries just wants the best for him, and then he's temptingly evil to Roode because he needs Roode to go full on Dirty Heels so they can beat the Wolves, and then he's, well, a dirty cheating heel to beat the Wolves because they are in the way of his getting a shiny.

And all of this makes sense from Aries's perspective. He's not evil just 'cause, he does things to achieve aims and it is wonderful. Also wonderful - Bobby Roode's 'I'm a good guy really' fake out.

It is how I like my tweeners, not pains in the neck that are mean to people but get away with it due to charisma *cough*Anderson*cough*.

Of all the experimental commentator mash-ups, I'm actually quite liking Josh Matthews and D'Angelo Dinero. Because they pass around the colour and play-by-play roles, and react differently to different things, and in favour of different good guys and bad guys for reasons and it's an interesting dynamic.
