Minor Irritations

redfiona991 - No-one told me that the region championships was this weekend. So I didn't go. And it was won by someone I think I can beat (I know, everyone thinks they can beat people they didn't fence but this one I have a plan against. Matters are helped by knowing that her main coach is an epee coach.).
People whose fault this isn't: My coach, who has an ill wife, an ill daughter and a new grandchild. And hasn't been well himself. Deputy coach, who has also been ill. My competitors, who I think presumed I knew (and have also been ill).
People whose fault this is: Mine. Because I didn't bother to check the regional website.
The competition organisers, whose idea of publicising a competition is to only mention it on a website no-one uses. Not their Facebook page, not through any of the regional clubs, just the one website. I refuse to give in to total paranoia re: why, because most of their fencers can beat me. Though then again, their really good fencers never turn up to regionals, only their second string ...
I am totally giving in to paranoia on this one.
2 - I have managed to lose another 1/2 cm from waist and hips (and one fastener in bra sizing). I have gained 2 lbs. I know how this works, but my lizard hindbrain is objecting.
