Last Week's TNA
Nov. 3rd, 2014 08:06 pmI once again wish to laugh bitterly at TNA pretending it has a tag team division.
The bitterness might also partly be due to them having the Hardys win over Jesse and Zeema Ion.
Gunnar and Sam Shaw vs Low Ki and Samoa Joe seemed to mostly be a set up for Sam Shaw ('n' Brittany)'s heel turn. Where they have decided to go with Sam Shaw is significantly less bad than where I thought they were going with him so I shall not complain about not getting an extended run of Gunnar being adorable with Sam Shaw.
Anderson + Chris Melendez vs MVP and Kenny King went the way you'd expect. I do love that even Tazz considers MVP and Kenny King beyond the pale.
Eric Young n Spud vs EC3 and Tyrus made me hope. Well played those four.
Eric Young as the defender of the poor, the downtrodded and Spud made me so happy. He is awesome.
So Rebel vs Angelina Love turned into Havok vs Gail Kim which was interesting. I presume they're trying to hide that Rebel is super-super green, so I can live with it.
I could do without Bram, the new King of Hardcore, mostly because I don't like hardcore matches, but him and Magnus being sneaky, evil and British warms the cockles of my evil hard. And also I ship it like crazy. And, yay though verily I would like them to stay as Magnus and Bram, evil English bros 4eva (to the point of being miffed that they weren't in the tag tournament), if they do decide to split them up, I will be all over that feud.
Discussing other people who really should have been in the tag team tournament, James Storm and his harem of brainwashed cruiserweights was recruiting again. Storm was trying to recruit the Wolves because ... we've still not been given a reason for Storm's brainwashing. It does however lead to the most wonderful WTF expression on Little Wolf's face (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0QHS7oc5rcI&index=8&list=PLcovtt7Bdo9MrF27ulHVg89-jOK2ats_j).
