I've not been saying much about TNA most because I've been busy and it's been kind of meh, with the only things standing out having been the James Storm plus harem of kidnapped cruiserweights vs Tajiri, Austin Aries and a variety of annoyed Japanese wrestlers, and my feelings of extreme suspicion as to where the Sam Shaw angle is going (if we're lucky, it's heading towards Single White Female territory but we're never lucky).

This week's was been better

Starting with Austin Aries vs Samoa Joe is also a good thing. Needless to say, good match.

Then you had Havok and Gail Kim having a brawl and then, OMG, actual characterisation time for the Knockouts, with Gail being our heroic champion and Havok being evil and huge. And the suplex-hammerlock thing she does really is evil. Cue injured Gail being all 'no, damn it, I am a fighting champion so I will go and fight her," and the crowd are going nuts, even while it ends v. badly for Gail Kim.

Then you've got EC3 being truly horrible to poor little Spud and the crowd are entirely behind Spud and it is kind of wonderful. And then Eric Young comes out to defend Spudlet and, just yes, Eric Young as the defender of the weak and the small is all that is right with the world.

They've finally added a bit of spice to the tag team three way which has been sorely lacking. It's not that the matches have been bad, it's just that there's been no emotional connection. Now, I'm thorough with the Wolves. (Actually, because he's awesome, I'm on team not with Bully Ray. And I say that with love and marvel at his heeling abilities.)

The entire building wanted to murderise Kenny King on Sarge Melendez's behalf. My only worry is how far the next bad guy is going to have to go.

Evil Manik is a thing of wonder. I am far, far too interested in the Revolution.

Bobby Roode is also awesome, even if I wish they'd either keep his old music or give him better new music. In TNA, the bad guys still have the best music. Looking forward to Roode vs Lashley part 2.
