Because it was Eddie Edwards's turn to be the heroic face in peril while t'other Wolf was carted off to hospital. Even if I was amused by MVP's oopsing (probably deliberate) of their names.
The thing I don't get is that there are 3 good guys standing up for all that is right and true and good. There are three bad guys standing up for money, power and success. Why are the bad guys the only ones with the sense to team up to be stronger together?
That being said team MVP look more terrifying after 2 weeks than Aces and Eights ever did despite only having ~ 1/3 of the members. So the booking is improving. It's just not improving in the directions I would like it to. Because I have tried to like MVP, it's just his wrestling does nothing for me, and for all I keep being told he is a wizard on the mic, he does tend to be malaprop central.
Kenny King, on the other hand, is brilliant at hyperactive mean heel.
I'm not sure who the final third man will be in team good, right 'n' true, (atm it's EY and Austin Aries plus a Wolf, with t'other Wolf and Bully Ray lurking.) other than not Samoa Joe, but I've learnt that TNA never gives me Samoa Joe doing the things I want.
Gunnar is being adorable in his vignettes with Sam Shaw.
Anderson is still being a jerk. So guy goes to a bar, challenges another guy to a beer drinking contest but gets the barmaid to only give him water and then punks the other guys out. That guy is not a good guy, TNA. You are making me cheer for Storm again.
