First I'd like to thank Twig for telling me that Aiden Gillen was in this so I went and watched it and had a ball. Although large chunks of this were due to me being with my friend Sally, who is my bestest friend ever.

And all these people who are complaining about factual inaccuracies should get over it. It's a comedy, not serious, of the fun. Plus how can I not love a film that ends with 'All Day and All of the Night'.

Plus there was a pillow-fight.

I mean, the only thing I didn't like about it is the books being used as weapons. But like I said, it was fun.

And the stunts were rather wow. Really. I mean the footwork and accuracy involved. Wow. Especially the sword fight. For those of you wondering I was brought up on action films, particularly historical ones so I much prefer a good hand-to-hand battle, or sword fight to the all-guns blazing things seen in a lot of recent Hollywood actioneers.

And they either had some of the best, as in most like the person they are covering for, stunt doubles or someone really trained the actors well. And yes I do know that Jackie Chan does all his own stunts.

So now to rewatch Lorna Doone which has Aiden Gillen as Carver Doone. Nothing like the character in the book yet I find it easy to forgive this, especially since everyone else is pretty much spot on.

There was one really funny comment about this adaptation, and Carver Doone in it, some angry dude wrote in and said 'In the books, Carver Doone did not mince around.' It was bizzaro comment, but slightly understandable.
