I suppose I can't be too upset about Saints not winning, I mean Fisi just got given the Brazilian GP (which he won fair and square) so I'm already up in the sports thing.

Oh and the second best thing about Fisi winning has to be quite how annoyed MacLaren are about it. Now all I need is for Fisi to win a race properly.

BTW is it me or is he just like Jean Alesi - one of the best natural talents going, just stuck on bad teams.

Ah Jean how well you would have done with the new rules.

Now for music surveys. Pinched from and

1. What was the first record you owned? - Oh a version of the Teddy bear's picnic that came with a book.

2. What was the first record you ever bought? - Album - 100% dance volume 4, which my cousin Phil promptly lost half of. And while it may sound cheesy, it was rather good.
Single - 'Young Girls and Happy Endings' by Gorkys Zygotic Mynci. Who I still love.

3. If you had a member of the opposite sex coming over and you wanted to impress them, what CD would you hide?

I wouldn't, most of my friends say my unembarassability is one of my endearing qualities.

4. Is there a song that reminds you of your childhood?
'Wonderwall' or 'Don't Look Back In Anger' by Oasis. They reminds me of my friends from then.

5. If you spend a night with 5 musical artists, three for their minds and two for their bodies, who would they be?
Minds: The Manic Street Preachers, luckily there are three of them
Bodies: Um, ever had your mind go blank, 'cause that just happened to me. Probably the guitarist from The Cardigans and the drummer from Audioslave

6. If your life was a movie, what song would you play over the following?
Opening credits: Just A Girl - No Doubt
Love scenes: Everybody Knows That I Love You - The Divine Comedy
Closing credits: In The Rare Old Times - Dubliners version, mainly because it makes me cry

7. What do you listen to when you are…?
*Happy: Anything.
*Sad:. *Angry: Angry rock music. I particularly find Slipknot and 'The Holy Bible' by the Manics to be useful here.
*Drunk: Anything

8. Name one musical artist you would like to see banished: Hmm, I don't think there's anyone I hate that much. I mean even Gareth Gates and Will Young have their good points. Although I would cheerfully banish Simon thingy from Pop Idol, the chief judge dude, if I could.

9. Name a song you would rather never hear again: - The dance remix of 'Sun Is Shining' by Bob Marley. I love the song, hate the remix.

10. What now-defunct band would you most like to see reunite [living or dead]? - Ooh difficult. I would have loved to have seen the Clash. Or Skunk Anansie. Or any number of bands let go by EMI to fund Robbie Williams.

11. Name an album that is perfect all the way through:
Everything Must Go - Manic Street Preachers

12. Music you like that could be considered a guilty pleasure: - I really like the Backstreet Boys and Five. Oh add them to the list of bands I would like to see reformed, because they were the only decent boy band.

13. Is there a song that described you or a situation you’ve been in so well that you could have written it?
I don't think I could have written either of these but 'No Surface, All Feeling' Manics, or 'To Have and (whatever the end of the title is)' Lars Friedriksen and the Bastards

14. Which underrated artist deserves more attention? -
Dark Star, Gorkys, 3 Colours Red really deserved it. Idlewild. This list could go on forever.

15. Has a song or artist changed your life in anyway? The Manics time and time again.

16. Best music related movie: Actually about music, um, I am tempted to say Bill and Ted's Bogus Journey

17. Other good bands or musicians: Tonnes and tonnes. Andrew WK is fun, good clean wholesome fun if you ask me. Custom, although he's an aquired taste. The Coral.
~*~

1. What was the first band you saw in concert?
Ever, ever - The Houghton Weavers
Actual band that people might have heard of - Massive Attack

2. Who is/are your favourite artist/band now? Manic Street Preachers, Slipknot

3. What's your favourite song(s)? The short version, 'No Surface, All Feeling' the Manics, 'Rare Old Times'

4. If you could play any instrument, what would it be? I'd love to actually learn to play the bass that is gathering dust at home.

5. If you could meet any musical icon (past or present) who would it be and why? The Manics, just to say thank you. Or maybe Tchikovsky for the same reason.
