30 Day Fanfic Meme - Day 2 – Name the fandoms you've written in, and how much you've written in that fandom, and if you still write in it.

All numbers from AOOO

Wrestling, various feds = 54 WWE, 5 TNA.

This number is by no means an accurate representation. A lot of my early wrestle-fic is not up on AOOO because it's terrible. Or it features people where ... wrestlefic has this problem where it's not RPF but there's obviously a lot of grey space between it and fake people fan fic. And then RL stuff happens to the people portraying the characters and it means you're not necessarily ever going to post those fics to somewhere new if you hadn't posted them there originally.

There's also a couple of wrestle-fics I wrote that have vanished due to archives sinking off the internet and so on when I didn't have a copy/have lost my own copy so I can't put them up.

In short, there's easily ~ 50 wrestle-fics that haven't been included in that count.

Wrestling is still my main fandom and I still write in it, but I only get to see one of the major feds and that fed is more of a breeding ground for me face-palming than me writing.

X-Men (mostly movieverse) = 8 Still writing in this fandom. Busily working away on a fair few fics in fact.

Doctor Who = 7 Still writing in it.

Harry Potter = 5 I'd say I was done with writing fics in HP, except I've got three (possibly more) Potter fics on my to-write list.

Torchwood = 5 Same as for Potter

Sherlock = 3 and umpteen still in the works so it's very much an active fandom.

Star Trek = 3 This doesn't include some of the shorter fics I wrote for [livejournal.com profile] chronometric. I've been a Trek fan since I was ~ 7 and there's so much canon that I don't think I'll ever be entirely finished but it's never going to be a main fandom.

Lord of the Rings = 2 I'm including the Hobbit and other Middle Earthy things in this. At the minute I've written all I plan to do but this may come under famous last words.

Pirates of the Caribbean = 2 I've still not seen At The World's End or Stranger Tides so there may well be more in future.

Kill Bill = 1 That's probably the only one I'm going to write.

Inception = 1 There's lots of other stories I want to tell in this fandom but they're all Mal fics.

Tsubasa Reservoir Chronicles = 1 but another 2 in the works. Then I'll probably be done. Until I finish XXXholic when I'll probably write more.

The Jeremy Brett version of Sherlock Holmes = 1 Which I know is peculiarly specific but I realised while writing the fic that it was definitely his take on the character that I was writing for. It's unlikely I'll write more in this but the same thing could happen again with other Sherlock Holmes fic I write.

James Bond = 1 I still haven't seen Skyfall. I'm going to assume I may well want to write something after seeing it.

Buffy the Vampire Slayer = 1 I've got 1 more fic I'm actively working on and then another couple on the to write pile.

Batman = 1 I have many more things to write for various version of the character.

BBC Robin Hood most recent version = 1 I've got one more in the works but after that I'm not planning anything more.

Arthuriana = 1 Also not planning anything except the one novel everyone writes in/on/about Arthurian legends at some point.

Stargate: Atlantis = 1 I think I'm done since I stopped watching.

Watchmen = 1 Again, I think I'm done.

Being Human = 1 I've got another fic in the works, and possibly many more when I rewatch the whole series.

Iron Man = 1 Still not see 2, and not seen 3 yet so I suspect there might be more.

Seaquest DSV = 1 I've written all I'm going to write.

Love Actually = 1 Ditto

Reign of Fire = 1 Still working on the prequel to that one. And then there'll be a sequel. But then I'm done.

Rome = 1 I'm writing another but I think that might be it. Possibly. Maybe.

Fushigi Yuugi = 1 I think I'm done.

Spiderman = 1 While I've still not seen the Andrew Garfield one, Spidey never really was my superhero so I doubt there'll be more.

There's a lot in the "only one fic" section and that list is only going to grow because, as I said yesterday, a lot of why I write fic comes from trying to imagine what happens when the minor characters interact, or when the Doctor leaves a planet or so on. As you can imagine, I write an awful lot of episode tags and missing scenes.

1 - How did you first get into writing fanfic, and what was the first fandom you wrote for? What do you think it was about that fandom that pulled you in?

3 – For each of the fandoms from day two, what were your favorite characters to write?
4 – Do you have a "muse" character, that speaks to you more than others, or that tries to push their way in, even when the fic isn't about them? Who are they, and why did that character became your muse?
5 –If you have ever had a character try to push their way into a fic, whether your "muse" or not, what did you do about it?
6 – When you write, do you prefer writing male or female characters?
7 – Have you ever had a fic change your opinion of a character?
8 – Do you write OCs? And if so, what do you do to make certain they're not Mary Sues, and if not, explain your thoughts on OCs.
9 – Pairings – For each of the fandoms from day two, what are your three favorite pairings to write?
10 – Pairings – Have you ever gone outside your comfort zone and written a pairing you liked, but found you couldn't write, or a pairing you didn't like, and found you could?
11 – Genre – do you prefer certain genres of fic when you're writing? What kind do you tend to write most?
12 – Have you ever attempted an "adaptation" fic of a favorite book or movie but set in a different fandom?
13 – Do you prefer canon or fanon when you write? Has writing fanfic for a fandom changed the way you see some or even all of the original source material?
14 – Ratings – how high are you comfortable with going? Have you ever written higher? If you're comfortable with NC-17, have you ever been shocked by finding that the story you're writing is G-rated instead?
15 – Warnings – What do you feel it most important to warn for, and what's the strangest thing you've warned for in a fic?
16 – Summaries – Do you like them or hate them? How do you come up with them, if you use them?
17 – Titles – Are they the bane of your existence, or the easiest part of the fic? Also, if you do chaptered fic, do you give each chapter a title, or not?
18 – Where do you get the most inspiration for your fics (aka "bunnies") from?
19 – When you have bunnies, do you sit down and start writing right away, or do you write down the idea for further use?
20 –Do you ever get bunnied from other people's stories or art in the same fandom?
21 – Sequels – Have you ever written a sequel to a fic you wrote, and if so, why, and if not, how do you feel about sequels?
22 – Have you ever participated in a fest or a Big Bang? If so, write about your favorite experience in relation to one. If not, are there any you've thought about doing? And if not, why not?
23 – When you post, where do you post to? Just your journal? Just an archive? Your own personal site?
24 – Betaing – How many betas do you like to use to make sure there aren't any major flaws in your fic? Do you have a Beta horror story or dream story?
25 – Music – Do you listen to music while you write? Do you make playlists to get into a certain "mood" to write your fic? Do you need noise in general? Or do you need it completely quiet?
26 – What is the oddest (or funnest) thing you've had to research for a fic?
27 – Where is your favorite place to write, and do you write by hand or on the computer?
28 – Have you ever collaborated with anyone else, whether writing together, or having an artist work on a piece about your fic?
29 – What is your current project or projects?
30 – Do you have a favorite fic you've written? What makes it your favorite? And don't forget to give us a link!
