Oh my stupid soap of choice.

I loved the scene with Brendan and his sister, where she was (justifiably) freaking out at what Brendan did and asks if he knows what was wrong with what happened. And he was like 'yes, the wrong is I upset you', and she says 'no, that's not the problem'. It's some good show not tell.

Ah, they're giving Brendan what passes for a Freudian excuse. And Emmett Scanlon his Bafta clips.

Also, Hollyoaks, I'll believe he's dead when he's been dead for at least 5 years. Hollyoaks suffers from Marvel dead quite frequently.

Actually, I'm being needlessly cynical, because they did do some interesting things, not least Brendan not hiding behind what happened to him when it comes to the terrible things he's done, but merely saying that it's why he's a terrible person to anyone he loves because he can't express his emotions properly.

Listen Bafta, I know you're not going to give him anything, and that Hollyoaks isn't big enough to win much at the Soap Awards, but really, Emmett Scanlon deserves something.

Dear casting directors, really, employ the man. In many things.


Unrelated, but the next person who says Jackie Chan can't act is going to get shown The Shinjuku Incident.
