Part 2 - TNA may have done something clever and intelligent with the Knockouts. It may have been accidental, actually, lets be honest here, it's definitely accidental, but I can't deny that it's clever.
So Karen Jarrett has been running around declaiming that the Knockouts ought to wear more and be more "classy". So, of course, our heroes, led by Traci Brooks, have been wearing a minimum. Karen Jarrett therefore throws a strop and points out both they and their horrible, horrible fans can get exactly what they deserve, they can go be in a lingerie match (the they being T 'n' T and Velvet Sky vs Winter, Angelina Love and Madison Rayne, Gail Kim gets to sit it out because she's a champion and deserves better). Of course, the good guys are annoyed by this (particularly Tara, whose reaction to being called an alleged athlete was grr argh!), and even some of the bad guys are not particularly cheerful (Winter mostly).
Then there's a bit where Mickie James is angry at Gail for going along with it given Gail's previous comments about how wrestling shouldn't all be about t and a.
So the knockouts come out, both Brooke Tessmacher and Velvet Sky wearing nightwear over their lingerie which, of course, gets taken off. And, oddly enough, both sets of lingerie covered more skin than their in ring gear normally does, so it comes over as, not 'good girls don't wear lingerie' or 'good girls do wear lingerie' but more as 'good girls don't want to be told they have to wear lingerie'.
It's still TNA, where they treat their female wrestlers like trash, and it's still wrestling, where if you want to be a star you basically have to wear a minimum, but it's an oddly positive message. See also, why I think it's accidental.
