Damn it Schumi, I refuse to cheer for Mercedes, and yet I cannot fight your evil lure. Actually Mercedes are being adorable. Meet Silbear, teddy bear mascot for the team (http://sidepodcast.com/post/a-little-bear-meets-the-big-bear). Not only is he cute above and beyond but his name is a pun (silber being the German for silver, as in silver arrows, the nickname for the old Mercedes). And they have the sense (they're not the first team to have a stuffed toy mascot) to have copies for sale. I am made of want.
Oh Ferrari, stop treating Massa quite so badly. It makes it so hard to cheer for you, and you already have one major strike against you in the other car.
You see Rob Smedley (and Coulthard), catching Schumi is one thing, passing him is another. Also, cease the snarking of the way Smedley engineers for Massa, it works for them.
Massa's brother looks so much like him.
Bloody hell, that Renault went boom. I'm glad Heidfeld got out of there. I also hope the marshal is okay.

I love how Coulthard objects to Red Bull and Ferrari issuing tema orders but wants Toro Rosso to do it. Grr!
Coulthard, stop being a little grass. I bet he was a teacher's pet!!
I keep forgetting how tiny Alonso is, and oh he gives a good grumpy.

Onto the vexed matter of whither Hamilton, his problem is that he is a bit high maintenance as a driver, and good, which limits the teams that would go for him. In fact, of the big teams, the only team that can cope with prima donnas is the one team he really can't go to (Ferrari). Red Bull aren't going to split up a pairing they can mostly control, so I think McLaren are the only place he can be. But I do expect a Hammy-strop soon.
OMG! No strop, and he is being nice.
Despite how that sounds, I do like Hamilton. He just has an unfortunate temper.
Well done Eddie, sticking up for the marshals.

Day 7 - Most Underrated Book
I am very tempted to say 'The Three Musketeers' because it never gets the recognition it deserves but I shall behave, and go with 'STARK' by Ben Elton.
Now there are all kinds of reasons why it should be terrible, but it's not. All the characters, even the grossest and most venal of the bad guys get moments where they're utterly human and sort of, if you squint a bit, relate-able.
Yes, it's anvilicious, but to quote TV Tropes, some anvils need to be dropped, and it makes up for it by being funny (fifteen different kinds thereof) and eminently quoteable.
And the characters are all wonderfully drawn. They're not perfect by any long stretch of the imagination, but they're so interesting and alive.
