Yar! There be pirates in this one, even if the BBC's costumes are less awesome than the fencers's.

Of course, Rory is going to get himself spotted. He is Rory the frequently dead. I did think his flibbling over the killer mermaid was funny even if he is going to regret it once they're out of peril.

I liked that the Doctor kept being wrong. It pleases me greatly.

And of course a pirate is going to keep a little of his booty, he's a pirate. I really don't get the people who say that wasn't something that would happen.

Oh the Doctor's poor little worried face when Pond tries to revive Rory.

My inner 8 year old approves of the space pirates. Because, as a different space captain said, all he needs is a ship and a star to steer her by.
