It is an Abyssinian and I think it hates me. But never mind, I am keeping it fed and watered, and occasionally accompanied. I am also plant-sitting for the same person, although I doubt they'll need watering today.

Owner of cat is from North America and likes cooking. She has a food magazine to hand which contains what appears to be a half-decent recipe for chicken paprika. Unfortunately, it is in American. What is a Dutch oven? (No sniggering in the back, please)

It's a pot (traditionally cast iron) with a tight-fitting lid http://www.crateandbarrel.com/dining-and-entertaining/casseroles/lodge--cast-iron-5-quart-dutch-oven/s573097

By the by, DON'T Google "Dutch Oven" because it's also slang for a gross prank :)

That was the problem, I knew the *alternative* definition, and was wondering what kind of cookware could cause it. I think that's what I'd call a casserole dish, but I shall check with the Mothership.
