One of these days, I will actually see an episode from this season when it's actually shown on TV. The nearest I've come so far is seeing "The Hungry Earth" on the same day as it was broadcast.

I think that I liked this more than most people, but then again, I'm a sucker for vampires, even when they are space fish.

Then again, it also had that opening scene. No, Doctor, at no point, not even in your head, should it sound good to tell another man that his fiancee just kissed you. I may have giggled with glee.

I also did similarly when the library card happened. And when I figured out who was playing the son. Alex Price can act, and I don't just mean with his voice, the way he held his body was totally different too. It took me 3/4s of the way through this to figure out where I'd seen him before.

I spent the whole thing wondering where I'd seen La Signora before. It turns out it's Helen McCrory, who was as awesome as she normally is, and was undoubtedly the best thing about the episode. Why is she not on my tv more often?

I grant that it was nothing special in so far as episodes go, but it wasn't bad either, and well, evil space fish is always a good way to go if you want to amuse me.

And also this:

Amy: Hey, look at this. I've got my spaceship, I've got my boys. My work here is done.

Rory: Pfft, we are not her boys.

The Doctor: Yeah we are.

Rory: ...yeah we are.

There is something adorably long-suffering about Rory.

Actually, looking at a quotes page, there were many, many awesome quotes. Toby Whitehouse has a way with dialogue. I will grant that some of my defensiveness about the episode is because I <3 him so much.

I once again must declare my love for Amy Pond. And Rory. And Eleven.
