Since I can't quite remember, do any of you remember how Data's not toasterhood is proved in 'Measure of A Man'? It's for a bit in my review of whatever the latest Dalek one was called.
Picard postulates that if we allow Data to be deconstructed and then have more Datas made that it would essentially lead to slavery of a new race of sentient beings. I think. It's been a while, heh. But basically the judge wasn't entirely certain Data wasn't a toaster, but wasn't willing to make the judgment that would lead to the potential creation of a slave race, if my memory serves me right.
Yeah, there was no real judgment really. Data was neither determined to BE a toaster, but he wasn't determined NOT to be a toaster either. However, he was given the right to FIND OUT.

I know the "Data is a toaster" thing is canon, but still. LOL. Not toasterhood.
