Saw Fantastic Mr. Fox. It looked good, but it lacked a certain Dahlness. I think it's because he had such a particular authorial voice that if you don't get it, which you didn't in the film, it doesn't seem right.

On to things that were kind of cool. My housemate bought Wolverine on DVD and we watched the deleted scenes

The longest one is a totally different take on Wolverine's confrontation with Stryker. Basically Kyla is revealed and then Styker offers to wipe Wolverine's memory and Wolverine agrees. Sabretooth overhears this and freaks, breaking in once Wolverine has gone, with a full on, "will he remember me?" freak out. Stryker tells him he won't, and then we go back to the original film.

I think the scene is much better, but it doesn't fit in with the film - surely Wolverine would have learnt not to trust Stryker by now, and he really shouldn't be bargaining with the guy that ordered two entirely innocent civilians killed - but it's still totally worth a watch.

Also, apparently the Deadpool ending is the canonical one, the Wolverine in Japan one is the extra one.

One of the other ones is Dukes tied up in the boxing ring and Sabretooth coming at him. You see nothing, because it cuts right there, but you don't need to. Nothing good happened. Well done all concerned for giving me the heebie jeebies.
