A Vexed Question of Layout

redfiona99Writing my X-Men Movieverse ficathon fic, and I suddenly realise my author's notes are somewhat extensive, because I've had to smoosh film canon, comic canon and reasonable fanon (that has to be used for films 1 + 3 to work together) and I wanted to explain what came from where.
So, do I:
1) abbreviate them
2) stick them at the end
or
3) some other option that I haven't thought of but you clever people have.
