Films and Computer Games
Oct. 28th, 2008 01:55 pmFinally saw Brokeback Mountain.
I mean, stuff like the set design and cinematography were brilliant, but it's an Ang Lee film so I expect that. It's more I didn't like most of the characters (notable exception of Jack's mother and the two wives). Also, part of the ending is an example of subtle just not working for me, because apparently we're supposed to assume that Jack's accident might not have been. And that went swoosh right over my head.
I also got to play Fable II on my friend's Xbox, which I enjoyed a lot more. It's a fun little game (or rather big game) and the controls are easy enough to pick up even for the computer-gamely challenged such as myself. And the voice acting is fabulous. All hail Zoe Wannamaker.
