What was the first song you ever heard by 6?

Is a matter of great debate, because I heard a song by them when I was very young indeed, and can remember the video perfectly, even if I can't remember the song. The one I remember and got me into them was 'Kevin Carter'.

What is your favourite album by 2?
No idea. I do like Spotlight on the Corries, which we have under an entirely different name, but you can grab any album of theirs and it will be good.

What is your favourite lyric that 1 has sung?
"When I find myself in darkness, mother Mary comforts me, there will be an answer, let it be".

How many times have you seen 11 live?
Never, have in fact only heard one song by them.

What is your favorite song by 7?
Favourite Rancid song - um, ah, um. While I like 'Fall Back Down' I will be the first to admit that it's not as good as 'Roots Radical' etc. Probably 'Time Bomb'.

What is a good memory you have involving 20?
Clubbing with Nisha at the physics night out in my third year, I'd gone with the fencers and she'd gone with Nuf but the minute 'Mr. Brightside' or 'Somebody Told Me' came on we found each other and moshed hard.

Is there a song by 3 that makes you sad?
There's a sort of brittle vulnerability around a lot of Gary Numan's songs, but none of them make me sad.

What is your favorite lyric that 14 has sung?
"I walked up to the teller, I gave her the letter
She gave me the loot with puckered up lips
and a wink that I found cute, and I said,
"baby, baby, baby"
(Is this some Kharmic-Chi love thing happening here baby or what.)"

Although all of Scooby Snacks is full of this level of loveliness.

What is your favorite song by 19?
"Young Girls and Happy Endings" or "The Humming Song".

How did you first get into 22?
During the whole drum and bass, garage, two-step, start of grime thing. They weren't the best (Shy FX by a mile) but damn catchy, none the less.

What was the first song you heard by 21?
Probably 'Let the People Sing' off the Live at the Kilburn National video.

What is your favorite song by 4?
Probably "Main Offender".

What is a good memory you have involving 13?
The Kaiser Chiefs were probably the band that got Nisha into Indie music, and she'd got the album for Christmas and she was playing it at a very low volume in her room. She and I were talking to Nuf and 'That is the end of that' came on and we randomly sang along to the chorus which freaked Nuf out since she couldn't hear it and we were in stitches at the look on her face. She thought we'd been brainwashed by some bizarre cult.

Is there a song by 23 that makes you sad?
"Standing in the Rain" which is probably one of the few songs about rent-boys.

What is your favorite album of 15?
Can I count EPs? Because Two More Years is the only song of theirs I like and it's on an EP not an album.

What is your favorite lyric that 9 has sung?
'Look who's alone now, it's not me, it's not me, those three wise men, they live in a semi by the sea', although this varies.

How many times have you seen 5 live?
Never.

What is your favorite album by 12?
B.R.M.C.

What is a good memory you have involving 25?
Seeing them live and them being as insane as ever.

What was the first song you heard by 18?
Probably 'What Comes Around' or 'God Save Us'.

What is your favorite song by 17?
Matinee. Or Jacqueline.

What is your favorite album by 24?
No idea.

How many of your top 25 have you seen live?
Five - The Manics (4 times), Razorlight (Once, supporting the Manics), Gorkys (Once, supporting Yo La Tengo), Franz Ferdinand (5 rows from the front, standing) and the Dubliners.
