Football - Well I can't really say that anything that results in Maldini and Pippo winning things has left me totally upset (unless Juventus are invovled), even if I would have prefered for Robbie Fowler to have had one last hurrah at Liverpool but I can accept Milan being the better team.

All that being said, I should have guessed who the scorer was when the words 'flukey goal' were said. Pippo, I love you, but no way should that goal have been allowed.

F1:

1 - Watching the F1 credits makes me realise one thing - David Coulthard doesn't half clean up nice. Sadly I have no photo, but basically they have him in tuxedo and, disturbing as it is for me to admit this, he's aging well.

2 - OMG!!!! Alex Wurz got points!

I am now happy. And will be for quite some time. Worryingly, he beat Kimi, who may now find himself the number 2 driver at Ferrari if he doesn't get his act together. Good drive to get up to 8th from 16th, though he was out done by Scott Speed who went from 18th to 9th. At Monaco. Well done him.

3 - Ha! Ha! Ha! Oh yes, it's only those cheating Italians at Ferrari who use team orders is it? McLaren have always used team orders (see Melbourne, 1998), they've just normally been more subtle about it than the Red Menace.

4 - Dear ITV F1 programme maker types,

There's this driver, his name's Alonso or something. I've heard he's kind of good and did well at Monaco. Maybe you'd like to mention him occasionally when you talk about Team McLarenHamilton.

5 - I do think the boy Hamilton has potential though. But I am very amused by James Allen's 5 year old son's comment about how he doesn't understand the fuss since he doesn't win anything. That boy is already a better commentator than Daddy.

6 - Has Mark Blundell been in a smash recently, because his face seems to have changed in some way and he was holding himself funny.

7 - While extemporising at length about the wonders of Wurz, I became aware that it is nearly 10 years since his duel with Schumacher at Monaco. I am old.

8 - No sighting of Nephew of Senna this time, which is good, because much though I still wonder why Richard Kraijeck is still playing when I see his sister's name on the tennis lists, it's nothing compared to how freaked I get when I hear Senna in a racing context. And I know it's not Bruno's fault but still.

9 - Prince Albert has started to look horribly sombre. And I'm still not used to him handing out the trophies at Monaco.
