I'm not so sure how I feel about this - http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/rugby_union/irish/6456861.stm
I mean, I don't want someone else good, as Brian Carney is, deserting league for union. Because well, all it'll mean is yet more mean-spirited newspaper articles, but I can't really begrudge him, as although he was the original 'he's good, shame he plays for Wigan,' that's still what we say about him. Also, I really can't complain since he's going to Munster.
Coming on the heels of Karl Kirkpatrick, one of the referees, swapping, it's a bit of an annoyance. Mind you, I think you'll be hard-pressed to find anyone who'll miss Kirkpatrick. Because he wasn't just incompetant, he was biased too. He hated Saints, and I'd challenge any neutral to disagree on that one.
Also, shiny new icon, that could probably do with improvement. Not that I bought paid time just so I could have separate icons for the two codes of rugby or anything ;)
