Seriously, I can not recommend 'Skip to the End' by the Futureheads enough. It is fantabulous.
They were on a C4 special last night and it's actually the first time I've ever heard them speak. They were deeply cool. That's one of the things I like about Brit pop mark 2, that there's a multiplicity of accents, Sunderland, Liverpool, Scotland various, and so there's a multiplicity of backgrounds and less of a 'you must be from London' thing going on because goodness knows, with the exception of the Kinks, nothing good ever came from London.
Also on the my music binge were Pink and Morrissey. Not so sure about 'Who Knew' by her Pinkness but I really liked 'Leave Me Alone'. Morrissey was singing 'The Youngest was the Most Loved', which, while I don't like it as much as 'I just want to see the boy happy' is still pretty damn good.
