Saw the Winter Olympics Opening Ceremony. It was pretty cool, not as good as the Athens one but then again, I doubt I'll ever see another one quite as good as the Athens one.

Do have the serious beginnings of adoration for both Jaques Rogge and the Italian President.

Of course, the best thing about it being in Fiatville - there was a Ferrari. A beautiful scarlet Ferrari.

And Renate Goetschl was carrying the Austrian flag and eeeee! Not to mention Murvadzhe was carrying the Georgian flag and just eeeee! in general. I was also squeaking over Tomba, Rocca, Pavarotti, Peter Gabriel and Yoko Ono.

Now before I go post porn, something I pinched from Topknot. Mostly because I'm intrigued as to what people will say.

Athens was great. I think my favorite opening ceremonies was Nagano (though I loved Lilihammer too). My favorite closing was Calgary in 88.

I can't remember Nagano (I strongly suspect I was asleep) or Lillehammer, but I vaguely remember Albertville being truly French and wierd.

Favourite closing ceremony ever was in the Commonwealth Games in 2001.
