And now on to the Shakespeare

Last night's re-jigged Shakespeare play was Taming of the Shrew, and it was good. Because they really did make her a shrew, a fire-breathing, expletive-shouting, bitter and twisted Shrew - that and she was played by the person who does Moaning Myrtle, while Petruccio was Rufus Sewell.
They made them both as mad as each other which helped, and it was better than a couple of 'straight' versions of it I've seen. And the wedding scene, well, it needs to be seen.
The only downside to the Shakespeare season is 1- they're only doing 4 plays (the last one 'Midsummer Nights Dream' is next week)
2- they've hidden some stuff on the digital channels where I can't get to it, most notably a sonnet thing.
But yes, enjoying the Shakespeare Re-told thing muchly, and I enjoyed the 5 minute Children in Need Doctor Who snippet, because we now have crazy manic Doctor due to by now traditional regeneration screw-up. He was fine and normal and then he went insane. I want to hug number 10 already.
And also because they gave a reason for leaving Jack behind.
