In Fiction what gets your motor running? What makes you hit the back button. Make a list of your top five kinks and top five turnoffs in fanfic. You can be as general or as detailed as you want.

Kinks

1 - Vehicle sex - sex in cars, planes, boats, motorcycles. But particularly cars. Where is the car-sex in this fandom, and why can't I find it?

2 - In character sex - deuced difficult to explain, but you know it when you've read it. Sex where even bereft of all their clothes and normal situation the characters still behave like you expect them to.

3 - Stubble - gah yes. I've had this discussion with at least two someones on my f-list before and it's one of the things that makes me all gah!

4 - bondage - not even anything heavy, just the whole thing of someone being tied up and wanting to move and touch and they can't and again with the gah!

5 - this one I know is a bit bizarre, but sadomasochism without the usual dom and sub issues. Sorry, as is revealed below the whole dom/sub thing doesn't turn me on, but sadomasochism does.

Turn-offs

1 - as mentioned above the whole dom/sub thing. It's not a diss, but it doesn't turn me on. With certain exceptions, and often those exceptions are written by people who have had experience with it.

2 - eroticised rape - you know the kind of fic I mean, not even the 'person is raped and falls for the rapist because they didn't mean it' school of idiocy, but the whole choice of words, with stroking and softly and other out-of-place words.

3 - overly serious sex-scenes - unless it's Harry Potter and character A has to shag character B or the whole world ends could the characters at least appear to be having fun.

4 - Characters in sex scenes whose only words are 'oh baby you're doing me so good' or words to that effect. Just no, it's not gah making, it's kind of boring.

5 - Scat - once again not gah making. In fact the exact opposite of gah.

Meme 2 - was doing some reading around of LJ and saw someone do this on theirs. My OTPs, such as they are, are Gambit & Rogue, Ivanova & Marcus Cole, any combination of the Natural Born Thrillers, Benoit & Jericho, Giles & Ethan, Spike & Dru and Obi-Wan & Qui-Gon, if there's any of them that you share, leave a comment to say why. Mostly for my interest because I like seeing how other people see things.
