Watched the Grand Prix - Alex came fourth. His first race in five years and he came fourth :)
Actually the sweetest thing of the day was a story passed on from Martin Brundle. He'd seen Pedro De La Rosa hanging about (he filled in for Montoya in the last race and had a stormer of a race - I think he was 4th or 5th too) and he said "Well done on the last race and sorry that you're not in this one" and De La Rosa apparently just shrugged and said that McLaren felt they owed it to Alex for all the hours he puts in in testing. I'm all aww over McLaren, De La Rosa and Wurz now. And Marvin for all that I may complain sometimes.
Basically, normally Wurz and De La Rosa are the test drivers for McLaren so they spend their entire life driving around test tracks and the actual tracks to get the cars better for the actual drivers. Someone worked it out once that they drive about 50,000 miles a year.
Wurz kind of reminds me of Luca Badoer who did the same thing for Ferrari only he used to be allowed to race for Minardi at the same time. Much hugging of Luca.
But with Wurz his problem isn't that he's a bad driver it's his height, he's 6 foot 4. So even though he's stupidly light, he's got like 8% body fat or something stupid, his bones still make the car really heavy. It amuses me that the one sport I'm the perfect height for is motorsports.
Other than that on the things that might amuse Becca front, just saw Eric Roberts in the Specialist with Sly Stallone. And James Woods who just rocks.
