Presently trying to mess up my sleep schedule some more so here are my responses to two surveys going round.
1. You're a handsome devil. What's your name?

2. Ever write under any other name?
Yup. Any slash stuff I have up at FF.net is up under the name of Proton Star.
3. Look around you. How did you end up here?
FF.net. There was this really interesting writer called Bliss who wrote about this wrestling thing I was slowly getting into. And her website lead on to others which lead onto WWFSML, which lead to my downfall, or upfall, whichever way you'd rather look at it.
4. Favourite line from the song you're listening to right now, or last listened to?

5. What's the last movie you saw that inspired something ficcish in you?
Films. People watch films?! (Keeps missing them) Probably, though not definitely, Troy.
6. Is there a character you'd like to write, but can't-- and why the hell can't you?
Right now, as of this moment, Ric Flair. I can't write him because whenever I do he just doesn't sound right. He either sounds to nice, or too sane or just plain old not Flair enough. (Most other times it's Lupin, but that's more because the reactions I want him to have to chime with the reactions he has in the books)
7. We all hate favourite questions, I know, but-- who's your favourite character (a) to read? (b) to write?
A.) I see the name Chris Benoit on a fic, I'm magnetically attracted it to.
B.) Probably Kane, unfortunately. He's a character I understand and that helps with the writing. Mainly because his main reaction is kill, crush, destroy. And then angst about the kill, crush, destroying. Not that this reminds me of me in anyway.
8. Who's your least favourite character (a) to read? (b) to write?
A.) Jeff Hardy because he keeps being followed by people who substitute 'z' for 's' and other things that drive me up the wall. Other than that kind of thing, I'm interested to read most characters because it tends to be more interesting than what we're given on-screen.
B.) It's Flair and Lupin again. I'm there trying to write more of a fic and then I realise that I've just spent fifteen minutes looking at the same space and still have no idea how to move this fic on, and it feels like my brain is going to explode.
9. Is there a story you'd like to write, but can't-- and why can't you?
This blasted AMW bunny - because there's all kinds of complicated emotions and I'm not a good enough writer to write it.
10. What's a title you've always wanted to use, but haven't had the opportunity yet?
Substitute for Love - mainly because I've never found a suitable fic for it, or at least not one where it wouldn't give the game away.
11. What was the first story you ever completed, and what do you think of it now?
I hate to say this but I can't remember. I strongly suspect it may well have been a Bonfire Night Kareoke fic on Lady Jackyl's board. I don't think it was too bad. I couldn't write it now, it was one of those comedy fics I seem incapable of writing anymore, which makes me sad.
12. What was the last story you completed, and what do you think of it now?
'Clothes My Forefathers Wore' - erm, except for hating the title, I wish there was a decent synonym for forefather than wasn't ancestor, and thinking that I should have come up with someone who wasn't Cu Chulain, because no one's ever heard of him, and a few other niggles, I think it's okay. Not brilliant but it got the bunny out of my system, and that needed doing.
13. Where do you do most of your writing?
In front of my laptop. The best thing about said laptop is that it is easily moved.
14. Do you have any fic taboos?
Rape fic, child sex fic. The usual. It needs a very careful hand to deal with them, and quite often I don't find the hands to be careful enough.
15. What made you start writing fic? Were you filled with creative juices, or was it a random act of plot correction?
Because it looked like fun. And I needed an outlet.
16. Who has influenced your style the most?
My high school English teacher. I had him for four years and his mark is on everything I do, from the words I pick to my grammar. He never could cure me of comma addiction though.
17. What is the sexiest word?
Stubble. This is possibly because it's one of the two normally masculine traits that make me get goosebumps. And it gets so little use.
18. What is the least sexy word?
Come. Sorry, I realise that it's probably vital to certain scenes but it's just one of those words. It's reached the stage where I even prefer 'jizz' as a term.
19. What's the word you use too much/often?
Just. It's reached the stage where I run through my fics to check that I haven't used it every third word.
20. You're a writer. By definition you are plagued and pursued by images. So what image is burned into your brain right now?
Rene wiping tears off Sylvain's left cheek with the thumb of his right hand, and the look of absolute and utter adoration in Sylvain's face. It's been stuck there for quite some time now.
21. If you were going to write professionally under an assumed name, what would that name be?
It's going to be a variation on my real name. But I'm keeping it a secret just in case I ever do, however unlikely that is.

I was trying to find a non-Latin-ish one, which is why I went with forefather. But predecessor is good.
