Because it's all about how everyone (and anyone) can save the planet, and I am all for that.
As you've had a short meme answer, you can have my long rant about Xander and why everyone who says he doesn't do anything after season 3 is wrong.
Because they are. Because he does more in the later seasons. He's the character that has to grow up and go out into the real world. He has to set up a life entirely unsupported by his family, and he succeeds. While helping the Slayer. And being the only functional person at least twice.
And oh yeah, saves the world single-handedly at least twice.
That's not my definition of not doing anything.
Yes, he's no longer the loser comic relief that chases hopelessly after Buffy and Willow, but you know what, I prefer later series Xander because of that.
