Fencing - OMG Richard Kruse made it through the first round and was only beaten 10-9 in the second round by Peter Joppich, who's the world champion. Well played that man.

Women's Cycling Time Trial - I love Emma Pooley's (GB - Silver) technique - '"There's no secret," the Londoner says. "You just have to make it hurt. Imagine a friend sitting on your wheel, shouting at you." If I had a friend sitting on my wheel and I was trying to climb up a very steep hill, I'd probably elbow him in the neck.'

Men's TT - the only Swiss person I will ever cheer for, Fabian Cancellara (see this year's Tour De France posts for why) won the men's. I'm so happy.

I've just seen one of the Aussie girlies pull off the most remarkable spin on the beam.

Highlights of Richard Kruse's 2 fights and an interview with him.

It's interesting comparing it to how the sabre and the epee looked. I can see why the sabreurs and the epeeists call us the pokey-pokey people. But it is the one that's closest to being in a real fight, it's all in and out and twisty and turny, and being sneaky helps. I <3 my weapon of choice.

Another point - no, I don't have an explanation for Peter Joppich's hair.

Not safe for work due to language.

David Price, Britain and Liverpool's super-heavyweight entrant. Even if you don't like boxing, just skip the first 3 minutes 10 seconds. But the interview is some of the most fantastic Scouse English you'll ever hear. Such love.

He does have a bit of an unfair advantage, he's six foot eight, but still. What a punch!
