There are times when I hate being a PhD student. I work hard, for nothing like good results, get yelled at by my supervisor when something that takes him three weeks takes me six (him ignoring that he has at least 10 years experience at this while I have one and a half) and berated in front of my collegues. Oh and the usual threats of not getting my PhD. Nice, eh?

While I have occasional urges to say fuck it and leave 1) I don't quit, 2) I am not giving him the satisfaction and 3) there is no way I can repay the stipend. Also, I know where enough bodies are buried that if they try to not give me a PhD I could probably cause enough havok to convince them its not worth their while.

I don't even like either team but gosh, penalties are a horror for all concerned. Kindoftrouble will tell you exactly how badly I deal with them.

Edit: So glad I didn't watch Terry's penalty. I can't stand seeing him upset. At the same time, so glad Edwin didn't lose again. I have loved Edwin for slightly too long. And Ronaldo makes me want to cuddle him, and oh Terry.
