I have a cape
Jan. 22nd, 2004 07:39 pmA black wollen one like my coat. And it's perfect. Not Dracula-esque, more creepy monk. Although creepy monks probably don't jump around going "weehee I have a cape". Which I did do.
It's lovely and warm too.
Other than that I'm back home. And I came back on one of the posh new Virgin trains. They have the nicest blueberry muffins you have ever tasted too. Lovely and moist. Dry muffins are a plague on humanity.
I love travelling by train because you can just sit back and relax. Lot more fun than horrid cars. Um guess who's family didn't have a car when she was growing up.
Think about it, there's never any traffic jams and you can read and write on them.
So I started my letter to my penfriend and started FOTR. It just flows along doesn't it. And the hobbits are so much like some people I know, especially the scene with the Gaffer. Loving it so far, including the prologue. Which makes lots of sense.
I think it's an easier read than the Hobbit.
The scene where Bilbo can't give up the ring is even worse than in the film, which I didn't think was possible. But you can see that the ring has been building up its effect on him right from when he first got it, what with him making up the story about the present. I think the film did a good job of getting it over.
( A line that makes me feel so sad knowing what happens later, some spoilers for ROTK )
Plus dwarves. Hee. And kid Hobbits.
And the minute I leave my teens I'm going to claim I'm a tweenager and won't grow up till I'm 33.

I've just seen the RAW mag with the pictures of Evolution and the Ferraris. This being me, I'm more into the cars ;)
Of course Flair got the classic scarlet red one. Really beautiful car, and have to say he was wearing a good suit too.
Batista and the dark grey one was a good pic too.
I'd love to know what possessed them to use a blue one. I suppose it was nearly Azzuri blue but still.
The Enzo looks good, not as good as the 365 which was either a Marinello or a Monza, I think it was Marinello, but then again that is the car I dream about at nights. Well, that or yellow Lotus Elise. Or possibly a TVR of any colour, because they're just as powerful and far better looking cars in general. They're less ugly round the rear, fewer grills and such, smoother rounder lines.
Shutting up now.
