I am indulging myself a little in one of the fics I'm writing and giving a character a Ferrari 360 Spider (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ferrari_360), which is very close to being the (modern) Ferrari of my dreams.

I count it as behaving myself because I didn't given him an Enzo (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ferrari_Enzo), the actual (modern) Ferrari of my dreams. Mostly because there are only 500 of them in the world and I'm trying to maintain some level of plausibility.

I am also grinning with glee that Saints will have this guy on the team next year - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jimChS-HcBM

I delivered a fiendishly polite put down to someone claiming I'd been stomping on the WMF VE developers. I pointed out that I was just following their orders i.e. if you see a problem, see if you can narrow it down to what the problem is with and then report. And it was a major error (replacing all accented characters with garbage). I am 100% behind the idea of VE but like everyone else who has ever had to use it, I've got some issues with how many bugs it has.

I'd like to introduce you all to the Volkswagen Golf (http://www.volkswagen.co.uk/#/new/golf-vi/). It is the best car ever. I have wanted one since I was old enough to want anything. It will be a three door hatchback and it will be burgundy and I will be the only one allowed to drive it.

No, I am not obsessed.

Watch a documentary on Enzo Ferrari. Some interesting stuff I didn't know, and got to what Nuvelari race (that I can't spell his name is a small problem). And there were clips of Gilles Villneuve and Jody Schecter, plus Sterling Moss and Mike Hawthorne.

And cars. Lots of cars.

Other than that, I've been working on the fics I do have stashed somewhere handy. And I think I might have finished the reply to Merc's challenge. I'll look at it again tomorrow (the no posting after 3 o'clock rule has come into effect). It's either one of the best things I've ever written or one of the worst.

Other than that, the aforementioned Ric/Randy ficlet, and the next part of 'Kisses', there should be more Factory Town stuff. I've finally figured out Rico's backstory, and it involves an unlikely character.

Everything else that's nearly read appears to be LOTR, and there'll probably be an awful lot of hypocrasy on the beta reader front from me over some of them. I'm worried about the tone.

And I'm not even going into the Boromir lives comedy, which now resembles a comedy only in the old fashioned sense of the word of everyone getting a happy ending. But Boromir does not bring the laughs.

Liverpool v Newcastle promises to be good. And even if it's not, there is the pretty that is Hugo Viana to consider. If he's playing.

Had minor row with Mum over not going to Inland Revenue office to sort out form of evil. Is IRs own fault for shutting at four and not opening on a Saturday, oh and mine for being a lazy cow, but I'm trying to forget that. Anyway in a fit of pique I decide to look at the form. Which turns out not to be evil at all. Mum was worrying me over nothing at all.

So I'm good.

A black wollen one like my coat. And it's perfect. Not Dracula-esque, more creepy monk. Although creepy monks probably don't jump around going "weehee I have a cape". Which I did do.

It's lovely and warm too.

Other than that I'm back home. And I came back on one of the posh new Virgin trains. They have the nicest blueberry muffins you have ever tasted too. Lovely and moist. Dry muffins are a plague on humanity.

I love travelling by train because you can just sit back and relax. Lot more fun than horrid cars. Um guess who's family didn't have a car when she was growing up.

Think about it, there's never any traffic jams and you can read and write on them.

So I started my letter to my penfriend and started FOTR. It just flows along doesn't it. And the hobbits are so much like some people I know, especially the scene with the Gaffer. Loving it so far, including the prologue. Which makes lots of sense.

I think it's an easier read than the Hobbit.

The scene where Bilbo can't give up the ring is even worse than in the film, which I didn't think was possible. But you can see that the ring has been building up its effect on him right from when he first got it, what with him making up the story about the present. I think the film did a good job of getting it over.

A line that makes me feel so sad knowing what happens later, some spoilers for ROTK )

Plus dwarves. Hee. And kid Hobbits.

And the minute I leave my teens I'm going to claim I'm a tweenager and won't grow up till I'm 33.

I've just seen the RAW mag with the pictures of Evolution and the Ferraris. This being me, I'm more into the cars ;)

Of course Flair got the classic scarlet red one. Really beautiful car, and have to say he was wearing a good suit too.

Batista and the dark grey one was a good pic too.

I'd love to know what possessed them to use a blue one. I suppose it was nearly Azzuri blue but still.

The Enzo looks good, not as good as the 365 which was either a Marinello or a Monza, I think it was Marinello, but then again that is the car I dream about at nights. Well, that or yellow Lotus Elise. Or possibly a TVR of any colour, because they're just as powerful and far better looking cars in general. They're less ugly round the rear, fewer grills and such, smoother rounder lines.

Shutting up now.
