We've just got a new Headmaster, and he wants to install CCTV cameras. And that's freaking me a little. I mean, the way he's decribing it it's like we're half way to becoming another inner-city warzone type school, when we're so obviously not. I don't like the idea that my every movement is going to be watch.

Yeah, I realise it has advantages, like catching the idiots who scrawl graffitti all over the place but since there's F.A he can do about it, I don't see why he's bothering.

Especially as the money would be better spent building a building that doesn't stink of pee.

Or am I just over-reacting?

I was merrily going along writing a fic when I started thinking. This is always a bad thing.

So what they say in Canada tends to be the Queen's English, right?

Does this extend to what the UK calls 'tights', but the US calls 'pantyhose/nylons'?

S Club Juniors are better than most adult pop groups. I like their stuff but feel that this means I am supporting child labour. I may buy their things once they are legal to do anything.

Note to the Vines - We forgave Nirvana's terrible TOTP performance because they were good. You are not, so don't chance it.

Also, liking Nirvana is fine, blatent copying is bad.

I need to set up an anti-Vines club.

How much do I like Nick Carter :) Dude, I can remember when BSB first hit the UK shores, and he hasn't half changed. Playing live also gains you Brownie points.

It's always been quite odd in the UK, BSB have always been, or in my part of the world have always been, far bigger than N'Sync, whereas most other places N'Sync are bigger.

The Coral - Wheeeeeeeee. And they're on Jools tonight with David Bowie, Ms Dynamite and Beanie Man. The line up King strikes again.

The Coral sound like the Animals x 60s garage pop x pyschadelia with John Lennon doing the vocals. Download if you can.

It's kind of cool, since I was into them before they were huge, I get to gloat now. The same with Travis and Andrew WK. But that's my job, ferret out new sounds and introduce my friends to them.

Richard Ashcroft - Needs Nick McCabe to make good songs. Richard Ashcroft has all the qualities you want in a front man, Nick McCabe everything you want in a guitarist. Seperately they are okay, together they're mind blowing. Too bad they can't get on.

Pink - wheeeeeeeeeeee. And her backing band are half of that wheeeeee as well.

Foo Fighters - They promised us hard rock, we got hard rock. Nothing to complain about.

Las Ketchup - Yes, it's a novelty song with a dance, but I like it.
