Canadian English question

I was merrily going along writing a fic when I started thinking. This is always a bad thing.

So what they say in Canada tends to be the Queen's English, right?

Does this extend to what the UK calls 'tights', but the US calls 'pantyhose/nylons'?

Well I might not be the right person to ask cause I;m from newfoundland where many people call the trunk of their car the boot *g* so we have more of a UK thing going on anyway. Butthat being said I call them nylons.

We're kinda mixed up here, lots of british stuff, lots of our own and lots of american... and lots of all three mixed up we're all confuddled *giggle*

I can see how it might be confusing. Thanks for the info, I assure you it will be used somewhere along the line.

And of course it's the boot, because you put boots in it. You don't put trunks in it. Well, not unless you're an elephant impersonator.
