It's a shame really, except for the judged event (diving, gymnastics) the officiating has been pretty good throughout. Even the starters in the athletics have been doing their jobs without causing unecessary distress by holding the runners on the blocks.
In happier thoughts, how happy did Kelly Holmes look. This makes me very happy. As does the decathlon but that always makes me happy. The sportsmanship in one of the super-heavyweight boxing bouts also makes me joyous.
