redfiona99Quite a haul for Christmas. And inbetween that and the job I have some money.
Please, if you see me near HMV, stop me before I spend money. So tempted to get the EE of FOTR.
Other than that, also stop me from writing a LOTR rom-com with bits pinched from Cyrano de Bergerac especially since
Boromir is dead. As the dodo. As the parrot. As a doornail.
Um yeah the story goes - somehow, miraculously, through some way that I'm uncertain of, Boromir survives through to Return of the King.
And decides that he has to do his duty and marry Eowyn. Problem being, this is Boromir and girls are icky. (What? Tolkien pretty much states that that is Boromir's view.)
Hence dragging his brother into help him out. Cue Faramir falling for Eowyn, Eowyn falling for Boromir because of what Faramir does, and Boromir feeling all kinds of guilty.
So he tells her the truth. She marries Faramir, and Boromir does a whole speech about his place being beside his King (and away from icky girls)
