Other non-holiday things

The Russians are coming and not content with taking over the tennis, they are also taking over Chelsea football club. Yes, a Russian oil billionaire is taking over Chelsea FC. Resulting in the sort of squawking only Chelsea fans can manage.
In the middle of all this Gianfranco Zola, one of the few gentlemen in the modern game, has moved to Caligari, because he wanted to spend his last season back home in Sardinia. You'll be missed Franco.
Talking about tennis. I'm very happy with the way it is progressing. All three of my picks got through to the fourth round and two of them are in the semis.
Meanwhile Max Myrni is still good looking, David Nalbandian still makes me go squeaky and both have been knocked out.
Mark Philipousis v Sebastian Grosjean should be good, Federer v Roddick will either be decent or awful depending on Federer's back and Roddick's serve.
BTW Sebastian Grosjean's voice is exactly like Morocco Mole's. For those who like me like pictures, this is Grosjean. He has an absolutely adorable smile http://sports.yahoo.com/ten/photo?slug=1057248418.britain_wimbledon_xwim156&prov=ap
Philipousis beat a German (he's half English, he's mother is from Wolverhampton, but I'd keep that quiet too.) called Alexander Popp who looks like every stereotype of a German ever - evidence here http://www.wimbledon.org/en_GB/bios/ms/atpp395.html -. He also had the problem of British journalists who keep asking why doesn't he change nationality and become British. To which, being far more even tempered than I am, he says that he has been German for 26 years and is very happy thank you very much.
Meanwhile in more serious matters, the Italian and German governments are not speaking to each other. Most of the other reasonable rational European states are siding with Germany, even Britain who have a history of siding with gaffe prone right-wingers.
The Austrian newspapers are meanwhile having a ball, saying something along the lines of you'll put us in purdah because we have right-wing nutcases in power but you let Italy have the Presidency of the EU, ha!
Also, the American government are picking on Slovakia.

I was very sad to hear that Kathryn Hepburn died. She was a great actress.
She covered so many bases, comedy, romance, drama, tragedy.
My Nan always loved her films with Spencer Tracy, Mum loves the African Queen, I adore The Lion In Winter. Then you've got Bringing Up Baby, and The Philadelphia Story. I know lots of people prefer High Society, which is a musical remake, but it's nowhere near as good.
I'm certain their won't be anyone like her ever again. A movie star, an actress, and she did it her way.
