It's entirely true about the Big Things in Australia - I have personally seen the Big Merino (in the article), the Big Lobster, the Giant Worm, the Big Pheasant and the Big Koala. I remember spending primary school perpetually jealous that other kids took family trips to Queensland (at least 3 days in the car each way!) and saw the Big Pineapple and the Big Banana but now I can't imagine why I wanted to do that! My parents (sensibly) certainly didn't!

I grew up near the Big Cigar (the town used to be called Hazelwood, but they changed it to name it after Churchill, so they made a cigar sculpture) and currently live not far from the Big Milkshake!
