At the minute I'm feeling very sympathetic to Frala's hockey transfer woes because it appears that Saints are letting Tommy Martyn and Paul Newlove go (and sending Tim Jonkers off on loan).

I can see their reasons for letting them go, much though I think they're wonderful players. Tommy is forever getting injured (he's broken his arm for the 3rd time in 2 seasons) and Newlove is also prone to ligament damage. They're also getting on a little, and that means they have to pay them more. Which given that Saints have already had 2 points docked for exceeding the salary cap (and the usual state of in the red-ness that we've come to expect) is part of the reason why they're being pushed out of the door.

The trouble being of course that both of these guys (and I think Jonkers could grow into being thus) are match winners. So if they go, I can see Saints losing more matches, which is hardly going to help the financial situation.

I fear the golden age of a couple of years ago has gone. It was nice while it lasted.

How come every other team gets golden eras that last 10 years and we only got 5. There's something wrong there.

Score Update: Oh fuck, lost to Wigan 34-38. At home. Kill me now.

bah trades suck :( okay sometimes they are okay but bah :(

What is this thing you call trades, I know nothing of it. I don't think it would be half as bad if they were being traded for good players, but their not, Saints have to fall back on the Academy (Youth team) again. Which isn't that bad because the last crop were good. Trouble is, I know some of the present crop personally, which wierds me out somewhat.

ahhh that's even worse, I Mean when you get somthing back that is great its okayish. Ah knowing them yeah would be kinda weird :)
