I don't Yuletide for several reasons, the most important being that in my family, a good Christmas is one where the worst thing that happens is the oven door falls off, but it pleases me in peculiar ways that in a few of the Yuletide letters I've seen flashing across my flist I'm still accidentally in the same fandom as my friends even if they're not fandoms we regularly talk about.

I'm not sure what the fannish term is for convergent evolution but I think that's what's occurring.
