redfiona99I've got to give them this, they're at least trying to explain away the main thing that annoyed me last week (why most of the TNA locker-room weren't coming out to defend TNA vs GFW), with Eli Drake, Jessie Godderz and Kenny King (despite last week's vow of good behaviour) pointing out that there's no point antagonising their potential future boss.
The bit with Bobby Roode and Jeff Jarrett and the King of the Mountain belt and Karen Jarrett being the cleverest person in the room was really good.
Although the usual problem of having evil Jeff Jarrett (tm) in the ring and then featurettes with charming RL Jeff Jarrett on the same show did occur. Because RL Jeff Jarrett is unspeakably charming.
Jeff Hardy as EC3's personal assistant turns out to be a stroke of genius because ... oh it's wonderful. EC3 is being impossible, and Jeff is putting up with it, just, because his honour is at stake. There's a wonderful bit, that TNA haven't put online, where Jeff Hardy and Drew Galloway are talking about Drew's stand vs GFW, EC3 turns up, tells Jeff he can't be a lumberjack in the lumberjack match, and to go do something menial (belt shining I think), and Jeff Hardy turns round to Galloway and goes 'that's our TNA World Champion, it just ain't right' and his tone is perfect.
So yeah, this week was surprisingly good.
