Initial Avengers: Age of Ultron thoughts

Probably a 3/5. Parts of it 5/5, parts of it 1/5. Really liked the Hawkeye, Quicksilver, Scarlet Witch and (spoiler) parts of the film. Not too fussed about the rest of it. James Spader was even more wonderful than usual though.

Date: 2015-04-26 11:00 am (UTC)I think it's also that Spader had to do most of the heavy lifting with just his voice, because, unlike a lot of the mo-cap character, Ultron has to move like a robot so he can't use body language in quite the same way.

Date: 2015-05-07 12:05 pm (UTC)To a certain extent, I'm quite happy that different companies got X-Men and Avengers because it means they all get separate films, rather than the otherwise inevitable Avengers vs X-Men film that the X-men would lose the fight in (despite the fact that they would so totally win).

Also why I'm glad we won't get too confused by Peter being Quicksilver in X-Men (I'm sure there are plenty of speed puns that could be used, though a mischievous part of me wants him to be codenamed Mercury because it would be funny and also work).
