A sort of bonus post, because
joanne_c didn't ask for this but I urgently need to express my feelings about Aiden, and I can't during the episodes because I'm busy swearing at him. It's also funny that I have more to say about him than about Jack (who I like a lot more) or Nolan (who is my favouritest).
I was not predisposed to like Aiden. I mean, I'm fond of tall, dark and handsome but I also like competent, and in the first few episodes he was in, despite being the supposed man of action, all he got to do was get in Emily's way, be mean to or about Nolan and get beaten up by the White Haired Man. None of which exactly endeared me to him. Also his accent was so screamingly fake that I always assumed that he was up to something. I mean, especially with a sister called Coleen, it would have made more sense to go with the actor's own accent, and I'm sure the US can cope with mild Manc/Scouse. (I know Barry Sloane is from Liverpool but he can do a decent nondescript Northern.)
But I warmed up to him, and he obviously only wanted the best for Emily and finally twigged that snarking at Nolan is a bad idea. So, by the end of season 2, I had accepted and maybe even grown to like Aiden. This was acceptable.
What Aiden has done at the start of season 3 is not. It's like "dude, stop trying to muck up Emily's plans just because she prefers Jack, if you loved her you'd try and help. Or at least not actively hinder."
As I said, he makes me shout at the TV, which is probably a good sign for the show.
I mean, part of me is still hoping it's a triple cross, but given how sincere he sounded talking to Victoria, in a bit that was probably the best bit of acting Sloane has done in the show, I don't think it is.
I fear this won't end well.

I think he was jealous, yes. But I think it did turn out to be a triple cross.
Would love to discuss end of S3 stuff, too, if you are up to it.
But no, it certainly didn't end well.
