The two Hardcore Justice Impacts.
That peculiar description is not my fault, it's all TNA's fault.
I like what they're doing with Aces and Eights, although really, Bully, I told you that Anderson was not a good team player.
I still hate ladder matches. And attendant stupid bumps.
What I loved about the Main Event Mafia sections
- Magnus on the mic. Bringing the crowd with him. It was glorious.
- Sting's whackadoodle plan and everyone's comments re: Aries, "Magnus hates him, Joe hates him, you [Rampage] don't know him but you'll probably hate him. But I'm willing to give this a shot." Sting returns after being turned down by Aries. "Now I hate him too." Of course, at this point, Rampage has had an idea (JoMagnus's face at this revelation is a picture) so Sting sends Joe with him to make sure he's got back up and then has Magnus fill him in and it's just wonderful character stuff. And bless him, Rampage is trying.
Bad Factor, or the League of Gentlemen (damn it, Daniels, you are a giant nerd) - they do have each other's back, and aggressive use of appletinis and I love them.
See Bully, I told you Anderson was trouble.
Bad Factor coming down and making the promo of awesome. And then my darlin' Cowboy coming down giving the "no, you really can't trust him" speech he is obliged to give at this point. And no, I will never tire of him hitting Bobby Roode. (I mean this in a good way. I love you, Bobby Roode.)
Yes, the stupid 3-way X-division rule is gone.
The post match interviews from last week - Bad Factor's whole spiel. I love them. They seem to be building Mafia vs Bad Factor, which is going to cause the good kind of coniptions. Because yeah, I love Magnus and Joe and Sting, and I love Daniels and Kazarian and Roode.
Bully, I don't wish to annoy you, but pulling the wool over Sting's eyes is slightly less impressive than stealing candy from babies.
Not that I don't love the play on having two Brookes but, um, Impact organisers, if Tessmacher is a bad guy (girl, you know what I mean), we're down to two good guys in the Knockouts what with Taryn being absent.
Also, why should I care who Bully Ray is hooking up with?
This is a good women's match.
Of course, TNA, do that thing they do when something is both fantastic and terrible at the same time.
Because we have AJ back. Which is good.
With no build up.
Oh and the best/worst bit - he comes down with "Evil Ways" or whatever emo!Styles's music is called, and then we get a face turn via sudden sounding of "I Am", P1 handsign and hoodie removal to show blue trunks which means, of course, that he's a good guy, again.
For no particular reason. With no build. (Well other than the "Emo!AJ is blatantly Sting in the rafters" problem.)
I'm not sure if this is good because yay! sort of a surprise (but would it have been better without the mini-turn against Hardy two weeks ago?), or terrible because it means we've suffered through yet another bizarre AJ angle for nothing.
I fear the explanation will be terrible. (Tenay's suggestion on the commentary was that it was AJ's intrinsic sense of justice, which couldn't stand the Main Event Mafia being short someone. AJ really is the Superman equivalent for TNA.)
And yet! AJ Styles! Is back! (He deserves all the exclamation marks)

Date: 2013-09-09 12:44 pm (UTC)It's like I can deal with them messing up everything else, but they've wasted (basically) two years of AJ Styles with what I feel are two failed heel turns.
